The Author (and her Blog) in the news!

Anna Bee has been interviewed by Emma Philbin Bowman for The Sunday Times! It's all about this blog and the reasons it exists - check out http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2098-2423163.html for the text - unfortunately they didn't put the picture online but the words are good all on their own. And indeed, if you've arrived here after reading the printed version of the article, you're very welcome - we hope you enjoy the Blog, and come back often!

Hi Anna Bee,
Your friend from New Zealand had posted your Irish Times interview at the Green Party energy fair held at Gowran Park over the weekend.

I have pumpkins (3-4) in my garden just now; they are still mainly green but slowly turning orange ; do you think its ok to eat them tonight !

Cheers,
John

Hmm, if they are green, I don't think that they woudl taste very good. But I don't think it's likely that they will ripen much further without sun.

If I was you, I'd harvest one, cook it, and try it. (a taste, not a big mouthful)

Let us know how you get on!

hi anna!
yes, I know you are into gardening but the next obvious use for your fresh produce is to cook or bake it. I'm looking for the perfect recipe for Passion Cake. It has carrots, pineapple, coconut and last but not least organge juice. Does any of your fans know where I can get the recipe. I've tried several websites but none of them use the orange juice which is a very important feature. I used to have the recipe but it got lost. cany you help?

Didn't see the October article but you got a mention in the Home section of Nov. 26 Sunday Times. Thinking of putting a link to your inspiring and useful site on a new allotments site, if that's OK with you. Will let you know details when up and running.
